Removing and installing/replacing the charge air duct for cylinders 1-3 (S55 engine)
Necessary preliminary work:
- Remove ACOUSTIC COVER .
- Remove right-hand INTAKE SILENCER HOUSING .
Removal:
Release clamp (1).
Unfasten hose clamp (2).
Release screw (3).
Feed charge air line (4) out of the rubber mount (5) and remove.
Installation:
Insert and install the charge air line (4).
Make sure the charge air line (4) is correctly positioned on the rubber mount (5).
Installation note:
The gaskets and connections on the charge air pipe must be installed dry and free from grease.
Tighten screw (3).
Tightening torque 11 61 3AZ .
Tighten hose clamp (2).
Tightening torque: 11 61 4AZ .
Required follow-up work:
- Install right INTAKE FILTER HOUSING .
- Install ACOUSTIC COVER .
