Removing and installing/replacing acoustic cover (S55 engine)

Attention! 

Risk of damage to the acoustic cover  .

Jerky movements during disassembly and excessive application of force during installation may result in breakage  of the acoustic cover.

Removal: 

Pull acoustic cover (1) off the rubber mounts upwards in the marked  area and remove.

Preparation for installation: 

Check rubber mounts (1) for damage, replace damaged rubber mounts (1) as needed.

Make sure the rubber mount (1) is correctly fitted on the acoustic cover (2).

Check ball pins (1) for damage, replace damaged rubber ball pins (1) as needed.

Installation: 

Feed in acoustic cover (1) and install.

Acoustic cover (1) must engage audibly in the marked  area.
