Replacing charge air cooler (S55 engine)

Necessary preliminary work: 

• Remove CHARGE AIR COOLER .

Removal: 

Release screws (3) and remove holder (1).

Release screws (4) and remove holder (2).

Release clamp (3) and detach coolant hose.

Release screws (2) and remove coolant expansion tank (1).

Installation: 

Install holder (1) and tighten screws (3).

Tightening torque 17 10 10AZ .

Install holder (2) and tighten screws (4).

Tightening torque 17 10 10AZ .

Install coolant expansion tank (1) and tighten screws (2).

Tightening torque 17 10 7AZ .

Connect coolant hose and fit clamp (3).

Required reworking: 

• Install CHARGE AIR COOLER .
