Replacing soft top compartment lid gasket (M4 Convertible)

Attention! 

To prevent water ingress, removed gaskets may not be reused.

Connect BATTERY CHARGER .

Open the rear module (see illustration).

Release left and right screws (1).

Release gasket from butyl (2).

Installation note: 

Remove any remnants of butyl entirely.

Apply new butyl dia. 4 mm.

Open tailgate at emergency release.

Pull off gasket (1) from left to right.

Installation note: 

Do not stretch, kink, or crush gasket (1)!

Coat gasket (1) with soapy water.

Perform installation from left to right (check bolting points).
