Replacing front soft top compartment lid gasket (M4 Convertible)
Attention!
The gasket is secured with double-sided adhesive tape and cannot be reused after disassembly.
Connect BATTERY CHARGER .
Open the rear module (see illustration).
Open tailgate at emergency release.
Release expanding rivets (1) on left and right.
IMPORTANT:
To avoid damaging the body sealing, drive out the pins of the expanding rivets (1) from the inside outwards.
Release gasket (2) from soft top compartment lid.
Installation note:
Follow INSTRUCTIONS for sticking components with double-sided adhesive tape!
First, secure the gasket (2) to the soft top compartment lid with expanding rivets (1) on left/right.
Only pull off liner piece by piece and evenly bond the gasket (2) on the soft top compartment lid.
