Removing and installing/replacing stowage block, left or right (M4 Convertible)

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

• Connect BATTERY CHARGER .
• Remove luggage compartment trim panel on side panel. Refer to REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM PANEL ON SIDE PANEL, LEFT or REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM PANEL ON SIDE WALL, RIGHT .

Move roof module into following intermediate station.

Unscrew nuts (1).

Remove stowage block (2).

Adjusting stowage block: 

Slacken bolt (1).

Adjust stowage element (2) upwards to maximum extent.

Bring screw (1) into position.

It must still be possible to slide the stowage element (2).

Slacken nuts (3).

It must still be possible to slide the stowage block (4).

Stow roof module.

Stowage element (2) and stowage block (4) slide into correct position.

Extend roof module.

Tighten down screws (1) and nuts (3).

Tightening torque 54 37 25AZ .
