Removing and installing/replacing roofliner for roof shell at front (M4 Convertible)

Special tools required: 

• 51 0 310

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

• Connect BATTERY CHARGER .

Move soft top to assembly position.

Move soft top so that angle of the hinges is not  ≤90°.

Support rear roof shell to soft top cover with suitable auxiliary materials.

Auxiliary materials must lie over wide area and if possible over entire length.

Rear roof shell is supported by auxiliary materials on soft top cover.

Roof shells block each other.

Unclip cover (1).

Lever out left and right clips (1).

Installation note: 

Replace faulty clips (1).

Pry the clips (1) on the left and right away from the front of the roofliner.

Unclip the rear of the roofliner on the left and right sides at the roof shell clamps (1).

Installation note: 

clamps (1) must not be damaged and must be pre-installed.

Use special tool 51 0 310 to detach the rear of the roofliner from the clips (1).

Installation note: 

Replace faulty clips (1).
