Removing and installing (replacing) left headlight (LED technology)
WARNING:
Follow instructions for HANDLING LIGHT BULBS (EXTERIOR LIGHTS) .
Necessary preliminary work:
- Remove FRONT BUMPER PANEL .
NOTE:
If the retaining clip (2) is present, the central connector on the headlight cannot be disconnected!
Release screw (1) and remove retaining clip (2) if necessary.
Unlock and remove cover (1).
NOTE:
Work shown on the F30 by way of example, deviations in detail are possible in other models.
Unlock plug connection (1) and disconnect.
Unfasten screws (2).
Tightening torque 63 12 1AZ .
Release screw (3).
Tightening torque 63 12 1AZ .
Release screw (1).
Tightening torque 63 12 1AZ .
Carefully remove headlight (2) in direction of arrow.
Installation note:
Correctly align the headlight to the holder (2).
Installation note:
Rubber plugs (1) in engine compartment lid (2) must not be missing or damaged.
No cavity preservation may emerge from the rubber plugs (1).
Replacement:
- Remount LED MAIN LIGHT MODULE .
- Remount LED MODULE FOR CORNERING LIGHT .
- Remount LED HEADLIGHT DRIVER MODULE .
- Remount LED TURN INDICATOR INSERT .
- US version: CHECKING BLOCKING AT HORIZONTAL position
