Installing headlight repair kit

Necessary preliminary work: 

• Remove headlight. Refer to REMOVING AND INSTALLING (REPLACING) LEFT (XENON) HEADLIGHT (M4) , REMOVING AND INSTALLING (REPLACING) LEFT HEADLIGHT (ADAPTIVE HEADLIGHT) (M4) , or REMOVING AND INSTALLING (REPLACING) RIGHT HEADLIGHT (ADAPTIVE HEADLIGHT) (M4) .

Replacement of headlight is not required!

Pull off grommet (1) towards the top.

Unfasten screws (2).

Carefully raise module (3) until the plug connection (4) is visible.

Release lock from connector (4) with suitable tool (5) and detach plug connection (4).

Pull off module (3) upwards.

1. A Remove holder as far as illustrated.
2. B Cover opening (1) with suitable means, e.g. rags, so that no dirt/debris fall into the headlights.

   Remove holder as far as illustrated.

3. C Fit holder from repair kit as illustrated and secure with screws.
4. D Remove rags out of the opening (1).

Install module (2) and tighten with screws.

Fit holder from repair kit as illustrated and secure with screws.

After installation: 

• Install headlight. Refer to REMOVING AND INSTALLING (REPLACING) LEFT (XENON) HEADLIGHT (M4) , REMOVING AND INSTALLING (REPLACING) LEFT HEADLIGHT (ADAPTIVE HEADLIGHT) (M4) , or REMOVING AND INSTALLING (REPLACING) RIGHT HEADLIGHT (ADAPTIVE HEADLIGHT) (M4) .
• ADJUST HEADLIGHTS .
