Removing and installing (replacing) rear left or right lower section of side trim panel (M4 Convertible)
Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove ARMREST SIDE SECTION
- Remove SIDE TRIM UPPER SECTION .
- Remove REAR SEAT
Release lower section of side trim panel (1) on clips (2).
Feed out lower section of side trim panel (1) from door sill cover strip (3).
Disconnect all associated plug connections/cable clips and remove lower section of side trim panel (1) inwards.
Installation note:
If necessary, replace clips (2).
Install all clips (2) with sealing ring.
When replacing side trim panel (3), remount the following parts according to the equipment:
- Speakers (4). Refer to REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING SPEAKER (MID-RANGE SPEAKER, REAR SIDE TRIM PANEL) (M4 COUPE) and REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING SPEAKER (TWEETER IN REAR SIDE TRIM PANEL) (M4 COUPE) .
- LED
- ARMREST .
- Module for interior movement detector. Refer to REMOVING & INSTALLING (REPLACING) MODULE FOR INTERIOR MOVEMENT DETECTOR ON REAR LEFT SIDE TRIM PANEL (M4 COUPE, M4 CONVERTIBLE) or REMOVING & INSTALLING (REPLACING) MODULE FOR INTERIOR MOVEMENT DETECTOR ON REAR RIGHT SIDE TRIM PANEL (M4 COUPE, M4 CONVERTIBLE) .
- Release circlips (1) and remove sound insulation (2)
