Removing and installing or replacing trim for rear lid (M4 Convertible)

Necessary preliminary tasks:

• Remove LOADING AID SWITCH
• Remove LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT LIGHT .

Release clamps (1).

Feed out left/right cover (2) in direction of arrow.

Version with emergency release: 

Detach handle (1) from clip (2).

Unhook Bowden cable (3) from handle (1).

Installation note: 

Feed Bowden cable (3) through clip (2) and engage correctly in handle (1).

Release screws (1) and remove (2) handle.

Remove warning triangle.

Undo bolts (3) and remove holder (4).

Release clamps (1).

Remove trim panel (2).

Installation note: 

If necessary, replace damaged clips (1).
