Replacing the intake plenum

- Make sure that there is no charger connected to the jump start terminal in the engine compartment.
- Detach battery ground lead from battery.
- For auxiliary batteries: Detach battery minus cables from all auxiliary batteries.

- Leave the electrical components in their original packaging until they are being installed. Only use the original packaging for returning the product. Always package removed components straight away.
- Read and comply with user information on using the associated special tool 12 7 060.
- Only tap the housings of electrical components. Do not tap pins or multi-pin connectors directly.
- Wear electrically conductive clothing and antistatic shoes (with ESD symbol).

- Release all ball hubs (1).
- Loosen screw (1).
- Unlock the locks (arrows).
- Remove the boost pressure sensor (2).
- Check sealing ring (1) for damage and replace the boost pressure sensor as needed.
Parts: Boost pressure sensor
- Remove screws (arrows).
- Remove the throttle bodies (1).
- Replace the sealing ring (1) on the intake plenum (2).
Parts: Sealing ring
- Insert and install the boost pressure sensor (2).
- Make sure that the locks (arrows) engage audibly.
- Tighten down screw (1).TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS
Boost pressure sensor to intake plenum Torx screw 6x20 Tightening torque 5 Nm Hexagon bolt 6x20 Tightening torque 8 Nm - Tighten all ball hubs (1).TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS
Ball hub to intake plenum Ball pin Tightening torque 5 Nm - Feed in and install the new sealing ring (1) on the intake plenum (2).
- Feed in and install the throttle body (1).
- Tighten screws (arrows).
