Adjusting Tailgate

Preliminary work

- Support hood/trunk lid in fully open position with the aid of a suitable device.

NOTE:
Perform the steps on the right and left side.
- Undo screws (1) until the tailgate can be moved.
- Move the tailgate lengthwise and laterally until the tailgate has reached the specified gap dimension to the side panel.
- Tighten the screws (1).TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS
Trunk lid to the hinge Hexagon screw M8 Tightening torque 28 Nm Check
- Check the gap dimensions (arrows) between tailgate and side panels.
Result
» Gap dimensions do not correspond to the specifications.
Measure
- Adjust tailgate.
