Installing the seal for the tailgate

Remove remnants of the sealant from the sheet metal flange.
Clean the sheet metal flange.
Replace the seal for the tailgate (1).
Parts: Seal for the tailgate
Mount the seal for the tailgate (1) beginning from the top center.
Make sure that the tailgate seal (1) is positioned correctly against all adjacent trim panels.
Check
Check the closing function of the tailgate.

» Tailgate does not close.

Measure
Make sure that the tailgate seal (1) is positioned correctly against all adjacent trim panels.
