11 36 655 Removing and installing/replacing both actuators (B48B)

Special tools required: 

• 2 360 895 

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

• Remove SOUND INSULATION OF UPPER CENTRAL BULKHEAD.
• Remove ACOUSTIC COVER AT REAR 

Removal: 

Release screws (1).

Unscrew nuts (1).

Remove engine bulkhead (2).

Release screws (1).

Remove partition wall (2) attachment.

Unlock both connectors (1) and disconnect.

Position special tool 2 360 895  correctly.

Turn the actuator inlet (1) using special tool 2 360 895  through approx. 50° in direction of arrow then remove.

Turn the actuator outlet (1) using special tool 2 360 895  through approx. 50° in direction of arrow then remove.

Installation: 

Position special tool 2 360 895  correctly.

Position the actuator outlet (1) and turn using special tool 2 360 895  in direction of arrow until the limit position rests against the clamp.

Position the actuator inlet (1) and turn using special tool 2 360 895  in direction of arrow until the limit position rests against the clamp.

Connect both connectors (1).

Position partition wall (2) attachment.

Tighten down screws (1).

Position engine bulkhead (2).

Tighten down nuts (1).

Tighten down screws (1).

Tightening torque 51 61 21AZ .

Required follow-up work: 

• Install ACOUSTIC COVER, REAR 
• INSTALL SOUND INSULATION OF UPPER CENTRAL BULKHEAD.
• Check engine function and check for leak tightness
