12 61 280 Removing and installing/replacing oil pressure switch (B48)
Necessary preliminary work:
- Remove front UNDERBODY PROTECTION .
- Remove rear UNDERBODY PROTECTION .
- Remove the INTAKE PLENUM .
- Remove the TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER FOR AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION (FOR AUTOMATIC transmission only)
Removal:
Remove screws (arrows).
Remove connecting rod (1).
Unlock and release fuel lines (1).
Unlock and release clamp (2).
Unscrew nuts (3).
Remove guard plate (4).
Loosen screws (1).
Feed out holder (2) and remove.
Attention!
A small amount of engine oil emerges when oil pressure switch is removed.
Have a cleaning cloth ready.
Catch and dispose of engine oil.
Unlock connector (1) and pull off.
Release and remove oil pressure switch (2).
Installation:
Replace sealing ring.
Parts: Sealing ring
Install and tighten oil pressure switch (2).
Tightening torque, refer to: 12 61 1AZ.
Attach connector (1).
Connector (1) must engage audibly.
Feed in holder (2) and install.
Tighten down screws (1).
Tightening torque, refer to: 12 61 3AZ .
Install protective plate (4).
Tighten down nuts (3).
Connect and lock fuel lines (1).
Connect clamp (2) and lock.
Clamp (2) must audibly snap into place.
Install connecting rod (1).
Tighten screws (arrows).
Tightening torque, refer to: 12 41 2AZ
Required follow-up work:
- Install the TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER FOR AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION (FOR AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION ONLY)
- Install the INTAKE PLENUM .
- Install the FRONT UNDERBODY PROTECTION .
- Install the REAR UNDERBODY PROTECTION .
- Check engine oil level, top up if necessary.
