22 32 001 Replacing rubber mount for transmission mounting (ATC 35L)

Necessary preliminary work:

Remove the REAR UNDERBODY PROTECTION.
Remove the EXHAUST SYSTEM .
Remove front heat shield.
Remove the TRANSMISSION CROSS MEMBER for the transmission bearing.
Support transmission with lifter.

Removal:

Slightly lower gearbox.

Mount special tools 22 1 041 and 22 1 042 on the transfer box.

Pull out rubber mount with thrust plate 22 1 043 by means of spindle 33 4 465 and nut 22 1 017.

Installation:

Observe installation position of rubber mount (1).

Coat housing bore and rubber mount with Circolight, refer to BMW Group Parts.

Retract rubber mount with special tools 22 1 046/22 1 044/33 4 465 and 33 4 466.

Required follow-up work:

Install the TRANSMISSION CROSS MEMBER for the transmission bearing.
Install the front heat shield.
Install the EXHAUST SYSTEM .
Install the REAR UNDERBODY PROTECTION.
