64 22 165 Removing and installing/replacing center fresh air grille (2' Series coupe and convertible, 2017-2021)

Special tools required: 

• 00 9 327 

Necessary preliminary work: 

Only on vehicles from version 07/17: 

Refer to REMOVING DECORATIVE STRIP ON DASHBOARD IN MIDDLE .

Only in vehicles built before 07/17: 

First  unclip the fresh air grille (1) at the top using special tool 00 9 327  and then remove to the front.

Unlock and disconnect plug connections behind.

Attention! 

Risk of damage! 

Installation note: 

The fresh air grille (1) must first be correctly engaged at the top on the dashboard! 

Only afterwards, lock the bottom clamps. 

After installation, ensure that the fresh air grille (1) is properly seated.

Disengage retaining lugs (1) at bottom on the fresh air grille (2).

Disengage retaining lugs (1) at top on the fresh air grille (3).

Remove the fresh air grille (3) from the decorative strip (2).

Only on vehicles from version 07/17:

Clamps at marked points of fresh air grille (1) must be neither damaged nor bent.

Replace clamps if necessary.

Replacement: 

Remount SWITCH FOR HAZARD WARNING LIGHTS SYSTEM/CENTRAL LOCKING SYSTEM .
