51 24 105 Removing and installing/replacing tailgate lock (2' Series coupe and convertible, 2017-2021)

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

• Refer to REMOVING TAILGATE TRIM PANEL .

Release screws (1).

Tightening torque 51 24 1AZ .

Maneuver out rear lid lock (2) and unlock and disconnect plug connection (3).

Installation note: 

Perform a function check of tailgate lock with the tailgate open.

Adjust TAILGATE CATCH .
