Removing and installing/replacing airbag control unit (X6 M)
IMPORTANT:
Read and comply with notes on PROTECTION AGAINST ELECTROSTATIC DAMAGE (ESD PROTECTION)

Observe and comply with AIRBAG SAFETY REGULATIONS!

Incorrect handling can activate airbag and cause injury.
Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Disconnect BATTERY NEGATIVE LEAD and cover
- Remove COMPLETE CENTER CONSOLE .
- Remove ventilation duct of rear passenger compartment
Unlock plug connections (1) and disconnect.
Release screw (2).
Tightening torque 65 77 1AZ .
Remove control unit (3) in direction of arrow.
Replacement:
Carry out PROGRAMMING/ENCODING .
