Disconnecting and connecting battery earth lead (X6 M)
WARNING:

Follow instructions for DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING BATTERY .
Follow instructions on INTELLIGENT BATTERY SENSOR (IBS) .
Follow instructions for DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING BATTERY .
Follow instructions on INTELLIGENT BATTERY SENSOR (IBS) .
IMPORTANT:
Do not use force to pull or lever off battery terminal with IBS.
Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove BATTERY COVER .
Main battery:
Loosen nut (1).
Tightening torque 61 21 1AZ .
Remove battery earth lead with IBS (2).
Lay battery earth lead with IBS (2) aside and secure.
Installation note:
Make sure the battery earth lead (2) is correctly seated at the negative battery terminal.
Auxiliary battery:
Loosen nut (1).
Tightening torque 61 21 1AZ .
Pull battery earth lead (2) off upwards.
Lay battery earth lead (2) aside and secure.
Installation note:
Make sure the battery earth lead (2) is correctly seated at the negative battery terminal.
