61 31 197 Removing and installing/renewing center console operating facility

Necessary preliminary tasks:

IMPORTANT: Risk of damage!
Do not lever out operating facility of the center console from the outside.

Press front latch mechanism (1).

Simultaneously lift operating facility (2) upwards.

Remove operating facility (2) from the trim (3) in the direction of the arrow.

Installation note:

Latch mechanisms (1) must not be damaged or missing.

Make sure operating facility is correctly fitted in center console.

In case of replacement, remount operating unit cover:

Release catches (1).

Remount trim (2) depending on the equipment.
