17 11 035 Remove and install/replace fan cowl with electric fan (N20 PHEV)

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove INTAKE SILENCER HOUSING .

Removal:

Release the Bowden cable for engine compartment lid operation in the arrow direction.

Release the wiring harness along the arrows.

Release screws (1).

Guide transverse reinforcement (2) out and remove.

Disconnect refrigerant lines (1) and lay to one side.

Unlock and release clamp (2) on coolant hose (3).

Feed out the coolant hose (3) and lay to one side.

Unlock and disconnect plugs (1).

Unlock lock (2) on the module carrier.

Unlock lock (1) on the module carrier.

Raise fan cowl (2) until holder (3) can be folded into center of vehicle.

Feed out fan cowl (2) towards top and remove.

Installation note:

Insert retaining tabs (1) at bottom on module carrier.

Installation:

Guide fan cowl (2) in and fold holder (3) outwards in direction of arrow.

Lock fan cowl (2) in latch mechanism (1).

Lock (1) must snap audibly into place.

Fasten the lock (2).

Lock (2) must snap audibly into place.

Attach and lock connector (1).

Connector (1) must engage audibly.

Feed in coolant hose (3) and install.

Lock clamp (2).

Lock refrigerant lines (1) on fan cowl.

Feed in and install transverse reinforcement (2).

Tighten down screws (1).

Tightening torque 17 10 7AZ .

Attach the Bowden cable for actuating the engine compartment lid in the arrow direction.

Fasten the wiring harness along the arrows.
