51 41 000 Removing and installing (replacing) front left or right door trim panel

Special tools required:

Necessary preliminary work:

Lift trim (1) by pressing on area (A) and remove.

Release screw below it.

Tightening torque 51 41 1AZ .

Release screws (1).

Tightening torque 51 41 1AZ .

Lift off cover (1) and release screw beneath.

Lever out cover (1) and release screw underneath.

Unfasten screws (2).

Tightening torque 51 41 1AZ .

Unclip door trim panel at clips (1) using special tool 00 9 325 (starting in area of A-pillar).

Unclip door trim panel from clips (2) at top.

Unhook Bowden cable (1) from door lock (2).

Disconnect all plug connections and remove door trim panel.

Installation note:

Replace faulty clips (1 and 2).

Fit all clips with sealing ring.

Make sure clips are installed in correct position.

Seals (3) must not be missing.

Installation note:

After assembling the door trim panel proceed as follows:

Installation note:

Incorrectly connected connectors (1) cause malfunctions in the ambient lighting.

If applicable, re-encode the ambient lighting using the following test module.
