51 24 280 Removing and refitting/replacing lower left or right tailgate support

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

• Remove TRIM ON D-PILLAR AT BOTTOM 

Open tailgate (1) just enough for bolt (2) to be accessible (risk of injury due to spring tension).

With tailgate in that position, undo bolt (2).

Tightening torque 51 24 7AZ .
