51 24 133 Removing and installing/replacing Automatic Soft Close drive on tailgate (Automatic Soft Closing)

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

• Remove TRIM FOR REAR LID LOWER SECTION 

Unfasten plug connection (1) and disconnect.

Disconnect Bowden cable (2).

Installation note: 

Make sure the Bowden cable (2) is fitted correctly.

Remove rubber grommets (1) of tailgate (push towards bottom).

Carefully remove motor (2) with cable (3) and Bowden cable (4).
