51 49 090 Removing and refitting/replacing trim panel for boot lid lower section

Lift trim (1) slightly and unhook springs (2).

Release screws (3).

Tightening torque 51 49 1AZ .

IMPORTANT: Risk of damage!

Boot lid must not be closed whiles springs (2) are unhooked.

Starting at the side, pull trim panel (1) upwards and in so doing detach it from the clips (2).

If necessary, disengage cable for emergency release mechanism.

Installation note:

Catches (1) and guides (2) must not be damaged.

Make sure catches (1) and guides (2) are correctly seated.
