51 24 010 Adjusting tailgate catch for tailgate upper section

Prerequisite:

Unclip cover (1).

Slacken screws (1) until striker (2) can still just be moved and centers itself.

Close rear lid.

Adjust tailgate to NOMINAL DIMENSIONS .

Tighten down screws (1).

Tightening torque 51 24 4AZ .

Check adjustment, repeat procedure if necessary.

NOTE: When the tailgate is closed, the striker (2) must not jar or rub in the tailgate lock. Look out for scratch marks.

Version with reversing camera:

After adjusting, check reversing camera and if necessary RECALIBRATE .
