Removing and installing (replacing) steering column switch cluster (X5 M)

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

• REMOVING STEERING WHEEL .
• REMOVING LOWER SECTION OF STEERING COLUMN TRIM .

Removal: 

Release screws (1).

Remove steering column switch cluster (2) in direction of arrow.

Disconnect plug connection (1).

Remove steering column switch cluster (2).

Installation: 

Connect the connector (1).

Installation note: 

Check the neutral position of the clock spring on the steering column switch cluster.

Neutral position is correct only when the green or yellow mark (1) is clearly visible!

Install the steering column switch cluster (2) in direction of arrow.

Tighten down screws (1).

Tightening torque 61 31 3AZ .

• INSTALLING STEERING WHEEL .
• INSTALLING STEERING COLUMN SHROUD LOWER SECTION .
