Removing and installing or replacing left auxiliary coolant pump for charge air cooler (S63 B44 T 2) (X5 M)

Necessary preliminary work: 

• Switch off ignition.
• Remove front left WHEEL ARCH COVER (front section).
• Drain COOLANT  for charge air cooler.

Removal: 

Unlock and detach coolant hose (1).

Release clamp (2) and detach coolant hose.

Release screw (3).

Release auxiliary coolant pump on the bracket.

Unlock connector and remove.

Remove auxiliary water pump.

Installation: 

Plug in connector on the auxiliary coolant pump. Connector must audibly engage.

Install auxiliary coolant pump.

Tighten screw (3).

Connect coolant hose (1).

The coolant hose (1) must audibly engage.

Connect coolant hose and tighten with clamp (2).

Required follow-up work: 

• Fill and bleed COOLING SYSTEM FOR CHARGE AIR COOLER .
• Check COOLING SYSTEM FOR WATERTIGHTNESS .
• Install front WHEEL ARCH COVER (front section), left.
