Removing and installing/replacing rear storage box (X5 M)

Special tools required: 

• 00 9 340.
• 00 9 327

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

• Remove SIDE CARPET FROM STORAGE COMPARTMENT  on left and right.
• Remove CENTER CONSOLE COVER (CENTER) .

Version with telephone: 

• Remove BASE PLATE .

Remove cover (1) at latch mechanisms (2) using special tool 00 9 340 from storage box (3).

Unlock associated plug connections and disconnect.

Unclip cover (1) with special tool 00 9 327.

Installation note: 

Replace faulty clamps (1) on cover (2).

Release left and right screws (1).

Slacken screws (1) and carefully remove storage box (2).

Replacement: 

Remount CENTER ARMREST AT STORAGE COMPARTMENT  on left and right.
