51 47 480 Removing and installing/replacing left or right capping trim panel

The operation is described for the left-hand side; proceed in the same way for the right-hand side.

Necessary preliminary work: 

• Remove flap in luggage compartment trim panel. See REPLACING FLAP IN LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM ON LEFT  or REPLACING FLAP IN LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM ON RIGHT .
• Remove SHOULDER COVER 
• Remove LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT LIGHT

Removal: 

Release screws (1).

Carefully release trim panel (2) at latch mechanisms (3) and remove to side.

Installation: 

Install trim panel (2) and carefully engage in latch mechanisms (3).

Tighten down the screws (1).
