84 21 537 Removing and installing/replacing hands-free charging electronics

NOTE: Comply with notes and instructions on HANDLING OPTICAL FIBERS .

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Disconnect BATTERY NEGATIVE LEAD
If necessary, remove amplifier. See REMOVING AND INSTALLING AMPLIFIER (HIFI SYSTEM) or REMOVING AND INSTALLING AMPLIFIER (TOP HIFI SYSTEM) .

Disconnect plug connection (1).

Release screws (2).

Secure hands-free charging electronics (2) against falling out.

Release screws (1).

Disconnect plug connections (1) and remove hands-free charging electronics (2).

Installation:

Make sure wiring harness is correctly laid.

Replacement:

Carry out VEHICLE PROGRAMMING/CODING
If necessary, log mobile phone on to vehicle
