51 47 440 Removing and installing or replacing rear carpet on seat pan

Necessary preliminary work:
- Remove all door sill cover strips. See REAR COVER STRIP and FRONT COVER STRIP .
- Remove front seats. See applicable seat type:
- Normal/semi-electric seat: see REMOVING AND INSTALLING LEFT OR RIGHT FRONT SEAT (NORMAL/SEMI-ELECTRIC)
- Normal/electric seat: see REMOVING AND INSTALLING LEFT OR RIGHT FRONT SEAT
- Sport seat: see REMOVING AND INSTALLING LEFT OR RIGHT FRONT SEAT
- Comfort seat: see REMOVING AND INSTALLING LEFT OR RIGHT FRONT SEAT (COMFORT)
- Remove complete center console. See COMPLETE CENTER CONSOLE and CENTER CONSOLE FOR 3RD SEAT ROW (for vehicles with 3rd row seat).
- Remove rear seat. See REAR SEAT or REAR SEAT (FOR 3RD SEAT ROW) .
- Remove FOOTWELL LIGHTS (on rear floor trim)
- Remove TRIM ON C-PILLAR at bottom right and left
Version with bass speaker:
- Remove CENTRAL BASS SPEAKER TRIM on left/right
Remove holder (1).
Pull back cable (2) with cable holder (3).
Feed out carpet (4).
Installation note:
Make sure openings for air duct and attachment points are correctly positioned.
Remove air duct on left and right.
