11 31 091 Removing and installing or replacing the hydraulic chain tensioner (M57T2-SCR)

11 3 340

Necessary preliminary work:

Remove GEAR CASE COVER

WARNING: Chain tensioner pistons are under spring pressure.
Danger of injury during removal of alignment pins.

Press tensioning rail (1) in direction of arrow.

Insert special tool 11 3 340 in the chain tensioner (3).

Unfasten screws (2).

Remove chain tensioner (3).
