18 32 605 Removing and installing/replacing both connecting pipes on catalytic converter (N63)

WARNING: Scalding hazard!
Only perform this work after engine has cooled down.

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove exhaust system . See 18 00 020 REMOVING AND INSTALLING COMPLETE EXHAUST SYSTEM (N63) .

NOTE: Refer to Fig 1, illustration shows the left side. The procedure is identical for the right side.

Release nuts (1).

Tightening torque: 18 31 2AZ .

Installation:

Remove seal.

Clean sealing faces.

Replace seal.

Reassemble the vehicle.

Check exhaust system for leaks.
