61 12 850 Replacing ribbon cable (CAS)

IMPORTANT: Read and comply with notes on HANDLING WIRING HARNESSES AND CABLES .

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove START/STOP SWITCH
Remove TRIM FOR PEDAL ASSEMBLY

Disconnect plug connection (1).

NOTE: Instrument panel (2) removed for purposes of clarity.

Pull off insulating tape (1) with ribbon cable (3) from instrument panel (2).

Installation:

Make sure ribbon cable is laid correctly.

Secure ribbon cable to instrument panel (2) with new insulating tape.
