61 31 113 Removing and installing/replacing both shift paddles for automatic transmission

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

• Refer to REMOVING AIRBAG UNIT

Disassembly of the steering wheel is not necessary! 

Removal: 

Shift paddle, left. 

Unlock and disconnect the connector (1).

Release screw (2).

Remove shift paddle (3) towards the rear and feed out the associated cable.

Shift paddle, right. 

Unlock and disconnect the connector (1).

Release screw (2).

Remove shift paddle (3) towards the rear and feed out the associated cable.

Installation: 

Shift paddle, left. 

Feed in the associated cable and join the shift paddle (3).

Tighten down screw (2).

Tightening torque 61 31 6AZ .

Connect the connector (1).

Feed in the associated cable and join the shift paddle (3).

Tighten down screw (2).

Tightening torque 61 31 6AZ .

Connect the connector (1).
