11 12 729 Checking cylinder head on watertightness

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

• Remove CYLINDER HEAD .
• Remove ALL HYDRAULIC VALVE CLEARANCE COMPENSATING ELEMENTS 
• Remove ECCENTRIC SHAFT 

Unscrew nuts (1).

Tightening torque 11 62 1AZ .

Remove clamping strip (2).

Position and fasten cylinder head (1) on special tool.

Disassemble connecting branch (1).

Attach and fasten special tool to cylinder head.

Required follow-up work: 

• Remove all special tools
• INSTALL ALL HYDRAULIC VALVE CLEARANCE COMPENSATING ELEMENTS 
• Install ECCENTRIC SHAFT 
• Installing the CYLINDER HEAD 
• Assemble engine
