51 16 150 Removing and installing (replacing) front storage compartment

When working on trim panel components, make sure that the sensitive surfaces are not scratched or damaged.

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

• Remove CENTER CONSOLE COVER 

Removal: 

Lift storage compartment (1) upwards out of clamps (2).

Fold storage compartment (1) towards rear until it can be lifted out of guides (3).

Disconnect plug connections and remove storage compartment (1).

Installation: 

Replacement: 

Remount 12 V POWER SOCKET .

Attach storage compartment (1) and connect plug connections.

Guide storage compartment (1) into guides (3) and fold forwards.

Engage storage compartment (1) at top in clamps (2).
