52 15 115 Replacing lumbar support pump (with valve block) on left
Necessary preliminary work:
Release cable strap (1).
Unlock and disconnect connector (2).
Carefully feed out cable (3) for M cover lighting.
Lever out welt (1) from backrest frame.
Detach bracing cloth at bottom from the metal tabs in the marked area (2).
Carefully slide bracing cloth through backrest gap and seat structure.
Tilt backrest cover with upholstery forwards.
Installation note:
Ensure correct installation of the bracing cloth.
Release adhesive tape (1).
Remove shaped part (2) from back rest frame in direction of arrow.
Unlock quick connectors (1 and 2) and disconnect them.
Installation note:
Check O-rings for damage.
Air hoses must not be kinked.
Unlock quick connectors (1 and 2) and disconnect them.
Feed out air hoses from backrest frame.
Installation note:
Check O-rings for damage.
Air hoses must not be kinked.
Unlock the plugs (1 and 2) and disconnect them.
Installation note:
Make sure wiring harness (3) is correctly installed.
Unlock latch mechanisms (1 and 2) and release valve block (3) in direction of arrow.
Installation note:
Fit guide in marked area correctly into backrest frame.
Unlock and disconnect connector (1).
Feed out wiring harness (2) from valve block and backrest frame.
Remove valve block with pump.
Only for equipment specification F82 and F87 with Competition package:
Replacement only:
When replacing the lumbar support pump, the two lines for the lumbar support are not required.
These must be cut off with a suitable tool. When cutting off, it is essential to pay attention to the correct line color! The removed part must be used as a reference for this.

The connector (1) for the lumbar support switch that is not needed must be tied back.
