61 14 035 Removal & install/replace power distribution box front positive battery cable

Necessary preliminary work: 

• Clamp off BATTERY LEAD FROM NEGATIVE CONNECTION POINT 
• Remove RELAY FOR FAN CONTROL 

Removal: 

Unlock the connectors (1; 2) and disconnect.

Remove the cable strap (3).

Release cover (1) and the nuts (2) below it.

Feed out positive wires.

Release cover (3) and the nuts (4) below it.

Feed out positive wire.

Release nuts (1) and remove power distribution box of positive battery cable (2).

Installation: 

Tighten power distribution box of positive battery cable (2) and tighten with nuts (1).

Tightening torque: 61 21 2AZ .

Connect both positive wires (2) and tighten with the nuts.

Tightening torque: 61 21 4AZ .

Close cover (1).

Join positive wire (4) and tighten with nut.

Tightening torque: 61 21 4AZ .

Close cover (3).

Connect and lock both connectors (1; 2).

Secure cable with cable strap (3).

Tightening torque: 61 21 4AZ

Required reworking: 

• Install RELAY FOR FAN CONTROL 
• Connect BATTERY CABLE NEGATIVE TERMINAL
