Replace hydraulic pump of rear axle differential (AWD) (X2 xDrive 28i 2018-2023, X2 M35i 2019-2022)

Necessary preliminary work:

Refer to REMOVING THE REAR AXLE DIFFERENTIAL CLUTCH .

Removal:

Loosen screws (1).

Remove the hydraulic pump (2).

Installation:

Coat both sealing rings (1) on the new hydraulic pump (2) with oil.

CAUTION: Check installation position. Failure to comply will result in severe damage to the hang-on clutch (suction hole rotated by 180°).

Position the hydraulic pump (1). The wiring harness (2) must protrude upwards. See figure!

Tighten down screws (1).

Tightening torque 33 10 5AZ .

Carry out the service function "LMV: Calibrate the pump motor" .
