Removing engine wiring harness for sensor system 2

Preliminary work 

• Refer to DISCONNECTING ALL BATTERY GROUND LEADS .
• Refer to BRINGING FRONT COMPARTMENT LID IN THE SERVICE POSITION .
• Refer to REMOVING THE ACOUSTIC COVER .
• Refer to REMOVING ACOUSTIC COVER AT REAR .
• Refer to REMOVING THE COVER OF THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT AT THE REAR LEFT .
• Refer to REMOVING THE COVER OF THE REAR RIGHT ENGINE COMPARTMENT .
• Refer to REMOVING THE SEAL FOR THE HOOD REAR .
• Refer to REMOVING LEFT AND RIGHT WIPER ARM .
• Refer to REMOVING THE COWL COVER .
• Refer to REMOVING TRAILING LINK AT SPRING BOLT .
• Refer to REMOVING THE CENTER COWL UPPER PART .
• Refer to RELEASING THE HIGH-VOLTAGE CABLES ON THE EME .
• Refer to REMOVING INTAKE SILENCER HOUSING .
• Refer to REMOVING THE RESONATOR WITH THE TOP CLEAN AIR PIPE .

• Unlock and loosen clamp (1)  .
• Guide and remove cover (2)  in arrow direction.

• Unlock all the connectors (1)  from the front to the rear and detach them off from the DME control unit.

• Unlock plug connection (1)  and detach it from the integrated power supply module.

• Release the cable bracket (1)  from the bracket (2)  .

• Unlock plug connection (1)  and disconnect.
• Loosen nut (2)  .
• Pull out and remove the retainer (3)  .
• Feed out auxiliary coolant pump (4)  and set aside.

• Loosen screws (1)  .
• Guide the retainer (2)  out and remove.
• Slightly lift out the electric coolant pump (3)  until the connector is accessible.

• Unlock connector (1)  and detach it from electric coolant pump (2)  .
• Release the cable from the intake plenum and set aside.

• Release the locks (arrows) and cable duct (1)  .
• Unlock connector (2)  and detach it from the servomotor.

• Unlock connector (1)  and disconnect from camshaft position sensor.
• Unlock the connector (2)  and remove it from the rail pressure sensor.
• Release nut (3)  and remove ground cable.
• Unlock connector (4)  and detach it from the pressure sensor.

• Unlock connector (1)  and detach it from the tank vent valve.
• Unlock connector (2)  and detach it from the camshaft position sensor.
• Unlock connector (3)  and detach it from the high pressure pump.
• Unlock the connector (4)  and pull it off the monitoring oxygen sensor.
• Unlock and disconnect the connector (5)  from the Lambda oxygen sensor.

• If fitted: 

  Release screw (1)  and the differential pressure sensor from the cable duct.

  Unlock connector (2)  and detach it from the differential pressure sensor.

• Unlock connector (1)  and detach it from the wastegate valve controller.
• Unlock connector (1)  and detach it from the heating element of the engine ventilation line.
• Unlock connector (3)  and detach it from the electric coolant pump.

• Unlock connector (1)  and detach it from the intake of the VANOS solenoid actuator.
• Unlock connector (2)  and detach it from the exhaust of the VANOS solenoid actuator.

• Release engine wiring harness (1)  for sensor system 2, from all the clamps.
• Feed out engine wiring harness (1)  for sensor system 2 and remove it.
