NOTE:

Improper routing of cables and wiring harnesses.
Trapped, crushed or damaged cables may cause short circuits and malfunctions.

- Route all cables without abrasions, do not trap and crush.
- Route the engine wiring harness (1)
for the sensor system 2 and fasten with the clamps.
- Connect the connector (1) to the intake VANOS solenoid actuator and lock audibly.
- Connect the connector (2)
to the exhaust VANOS solenoid actuator and lock audibly.
- Attach connector (1) to the tank vent valve and lock it audibly.
- Attach connector (2) to the camshaft position sensor and lock it audibly.
- Plug in the connector (3) to the high pressure pump and lock it audibly.
- Attach connector (4) to the oxygen sensor monitor and lock it audibly.
- Attach connector (5)
to the front lambda oxygen sensor and lock it audibly.
- If fitted:
Guide in the differential pressure sensor and position it.
- Tighten down screw (1) .

- Attach the connector (2)
to the differential pressure sensor and lock it audibly.
- Plug in connector (1) to the wastegate valve controller and lock it audibly.
- Plug in connector (2) to the heating element of the engine ventilation line and lock it audibly.
- Plug in connector (3)
to the electric coolant pump and lock it audibly.
- Attach connector (1) to the camshaft position sensor and lock it audibly.
- Plug in connector (2) to the rail pressure sensor and lock it audibly.
- Connect the ground cable to the ground pin.
- Tighten nut (3) .

- Plug in connector (4) to the pressure sensor and lock it audibly.
- Mount cable duct (1) and lock the locks (arrows).
- Plug in connector (2) to the servomotor and lock it audibly.

Make sure that the connections are locked correctly. The locks must engage audibly.

- Guide in electric coolant pump (2) .
- Connect and lock the connector (1) .
- Make sure the connector (1) engages audibly.
- Fasten the cable to the manifold.
- Position the electric coolant pump (3) .
- Insert and install the retainer (2) .
- Make sure the retainer (2) is positioned correctly .

- Note the correct screw length.
- Install screws that correspond to the original length.
- Tighten the screws (1) .

- Feed in and position auxiliary coolant pump (4) .
- Feed in and position retaining bracket (3) .
- Tighten the nut (2) .

- Connect connectors (1)
and lock.
The connector (1) must engage audibly.
- Fasten the cable bracket (1)
to the bracket (2)

- Pin up connector (1)
and lock audibly.
- Attach all the connectors (1)
from the rear to the front to the DME control unit and lock them audibly.
- Guide in and install cover (1) into guide (2) in arrow direction.
- Lock clamp (3)
.
The clamp (3) must engage audibly.
