13 71 044 Removing and installing/replacing the charge air line (B48)

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Removal:

Unlock connector (1) on charging pressure sensor and loosen.

Unlock and release clamp (2).

Unlock and loosen the connector (3) on the temperature sensor for the charge air.

Loosen the screws along the arrows.

Unlock clamp (4) on exhaust turbocharger and release.

Remove the charge air line (5).

Preparation for installation:

Replace sealing ring (1) on the throttle valve.

Part: Sealing ring

Replace the sealing ring (1) on the bottom charge air line if it is damaged.

Installation:

Insert and install the charge air line (5).

The clamp (4) on the exhaust turbocharger must engage audibly.

Tighten screws along arrows.

Tightening torque, refer to: 13 71 1AZ .

Connect and lock the connector (3) on the charge air temperature sensor.

Connect and lock connector (1) on charging pressure sensor.

All connectors must audibly engage.

Secure clamp (2).
