11 00... Mounting engine on assembly stand (B48B)

Special tools required: 

• 00 2 300 
• 00 2 320 
• 2 288 357 
• 11 9 030 

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

• Remove ENGINE 
• Remove RIGHT ENGINE SUPPORT ARM
• Drain off ENGINE OIL 

Prepare special tool 00 2 300  together with special tool 00 2 320  (00 2 321).

Prepare special tool 2 288 357  together with special tool 11 9 030  .

Lift engine with workshop crane onto assembly stand.

Bolt special tools 11 9 030  and 2 288 357  to engine.

Tightening torque: 11 11 5AZ .

Fix special tool 11 9 030  to assembly stand 00 2 300  .

Tightening torque: 11 11 6AZ .

Required follow-up work: 

• Suspend engine from workshop crane
• Remove engine from assembly stand
• Install RIGHT ENGINE SUPPORT ARM
• Install ENGINE 
• Top up ENGINE OIL
