17 11 035 Remove and install or replace the fan cowl with electric fan

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

• Switch off ignition.
• Remove cross connection.
• Vehicles with automatic transmission only: 

  Release TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER  from the fan cowl; do not  remove.

Unclip coolant line (1) from fan cowl.

Unlock and disconnect connectors (2) on fan cowl on right.

Release screw (1) on fan cowl.

Tightening torque 17 10 1AZ .

Release lock (2) and remove fan cowl (3) towards top.

Installation note: 

Insert retaining tabs (1) at bottom of radiator or charge air cooler.
