41 62 014 Adjusting Tailgate

The BODY GAP DIMENSIONSserve as the basis for adjustment work.
NOTE:
Stop screw (1) must not be damaged or missing.
The stop screw is preset and must not be used to adjust the rear lid.
Slacken screws (1) until such stage that the rear lid can still be moved.
Adjust rear lid laterally and longitudinally.
Height adjustment of rear lid with spacer plates. If this is not sufficient, adjust KINEMATICS BOX .
Retighten all screws.
Tightening torque 41 62 1AZ .
Adjust REAR LID LOCK .
