41 21 512 Replacing Inner Door Pillar Section (Door Pillar Removed)

Spot-weld bonding is used on the E85. Observe specific procedure See 4100... SPOT-WELD BONDING STEEL PARTS or 4100... OPENING ADHESIVE BONDS .

Place vehicle on straightening bench.

NOTE: Observe new procedure for bonding and riveting (REPAIR STAGE 2) .

(1) Support, A-pillar

Installation:

Adjust new part to fit with straightening attachment or universal mount.

Apply adhesive K5a in area (2). Rivet new part with 4 blind rivets N1. Before applying adhesive, clean bonding surfaces with adhesive cleaner.

Observe fitting of door pillar when selecting the rivet positions.

When welding the new part, make sure that the adhesive joints of adjoining components are not damaged by the application of heat.
